The Confederation of Nepal Industry has said that it has attracted serious attention due to load shedding in industries. The confederation said that the cost of production has increased due to non-provision of electricity in industries.

"Some time ago, the Nepal Electricity Authority exported electricity by load shedding to the industries of Nepal," said the statement of the confederation. The Confederation says that, besides having a serious impact on the investment environment in the country, the establishment of new industries and the expansion of industries should be seriously considered.

While the government is trying to promote indigenous industries, improve the laws to increase the morale of the private sector and create an investment environment, the loadshedding done by the government bodies and authorities on the indigenous industries has hurt the industry.

"Even though there is electricity savings in the country, the authority which exported enough electricity to the industries has now again induced loadshedding in the industries to stop doing industries in the country," the statement said.
