With a decrease of 7.66 points on Tuesday, the overall NEPSE index fell below 2,700 points. After decreasing by 0.28 percent compared to Monday, the overall NEPSE closed at 2,697.04 points. This was about a month ago. Earlier on February 4, NEPSE was at 2,698.03 points. Since then, on February 20, NEPSE reached 2,846.30.

NEPSE, which has fallen again from that point, has fallen below 2,700 on Tuesday. NEPSE has decreased on three days of this week (Sunday, Monday and Tuesday). Brokers say that the stock market has had a negative impact as investors' confidence has not been increased due to continuous decline in NEPSE. Experts say that this is the reason why the interest rate is falling and other areas of investment are not improving as expected.

On Tuesday, the share price of 86 companies increased, 153 decreased, and the remaining 4 companies remained stable. 82 lakh 37 thousand 902 shares were bought and sold in 50 thousand 834 transactions. Shares worth about 4 billion 34 crore 66 lakh rupees have been traded in those purchases. 

Compared to Monday, the number of transactions on Tuesday, the number of transaction shares (share), and the transaction amount have all decreased. On Monday, 99 lakh 35 thousand 872 shares were traded in 57 thousand 585 transactions. Shares worth about 5 billion 40 million 83 million rupees were traded in those purchases. 

Out of the 13 sub-groups that came into trading on Tuesday, all indices fell except for 'Other'. Among them, life insurance has decreased by 95.34 points and non-life insurance by 69.56 points. The business sub-group has also followed the banking group itself. According to which the index of business sub-group has decreased by 27.85 points. On that day, the index of other sub-groups became positive by only 0.11 percent, while the indices of all others decreased by less than one percent.

Although the overall NEPSE decreased by seven and a half points, the share price of some companies increased. The top five companies whose share prices will increase on that day are Mithila Laguvitta, Himalayan Power Partners, Geo Energy Development, Panchthar Power Company and Dhaulagiri Laguvitta. However, Community Microfinance, Rapti Hydro, RBB Collective Investment Fund (WAN) Upper Solu Hydro and Sayapatri Hydropower Company are among the top five losers.
