On the occasion of the 70th anniversary of the establishment of Nepal-China diplomatic relations, a regular commercial charter flight will be conducted from Chhendu, China to Pokhara International Airport.
With the help of Sichuan Province, Sichuan Airlines will start regular commercial charter flights at Pokhara International Airport for the first time from Tuesday. The Nepal Tourism Board believes that this flight will make the air communication between Nepal and China more effective and bring tourism promotion, cultural exchange and commercial cooperation to new heights.
"Pokhara-Chhendu flight will provide easy access to air services at a low cost for travelers from central and western Nepal, as well as an opportunity for Chinese tourists to see the beautiful city of Pokhara", the statement issued by the board on Sunday said, "The air link will play an important role in increasing the arrival of international tourists in Nepal by supporting the 'Visit Nepal 2025' campaign announced by the Chinese government and the 'Pokhara Tourism Year' announced by the Nepalese government."
The Nepali delegation will go for the 'Pokhara-Chhendu Flight Promotion and China (Sichuan) Sales Mission 2025' on a commercial charter flight from Chhendu to Pokhara. The Nepali delegation team will participate in business meetings with various government and private sector delegations in Chinese cities including Chendu, Luzhou, Leshan.
'These efforts will play a role in promoting Nepal as a major tourism destination as well as strengthening cooperation in the tourism sector of both countries', said the statement issued by the board. The
board expressed its gratitude to Sichuan Airlines, Sichuan Provincial Government, Pokhara Tourism Council and all the stakeholders who helped make this historic initiative a success. In addition, the board expects that this work will intensify the cultural exchange and help to establish Nepal as an international tourism destination.
