Bee hives have been distributed to the farmers of Kepilasgarhi Rural Municipality.

The hives were distributed on Wednesday with the help of the coordination of Kepilasgarhi Rural Municipality, the project of Division Forest Office Khotang and the watershed-based Climate Uplifting Livelihood Project.

According to Samir Rai, chairman of the rural municipality, 25 leading bee farmers of the rural municipality were given a one-day orientation program on beekeeping and one hundred houses were distributed at the rate of four hives.

Rai said that hives were distributed with the aim of increasing the income of farmers from bees. "In Kepilasgarhi, house-to-house farmers are cultivating mustard under mustard promotion program," said Rai.
