The Ministry of Labour, Employment and Social Security has announced the launch of the National Employment Promotion Program to create productive employment within a decade. Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli announced the launch of the National Employment Promotion Program at the fifth National Labor and Employment Conference organized by the Ministry of Labour. In this, priority has been given to the development of entrepreneurship and the production of skilled manpower by promoting the private sector.

Prime Minister Oli said that there is a program to make maximum use of technology for the development of production and productivity. The next decade is about entrepreneurship. It is a decade of employment promotion. The private sector has an extraordinary importance in this," he said. "It is not just that you will get a job, you should be an entrepreneur that you will do something yourself." 

In the absence of a living wage, the labor force is going to work abroad. We need two million manpower in the construction sector alone. All the construction workers who come in the year are going out,' he said, 'we need attractive jobs that save the family's expenses.' 

Labor, Employment and Social Security Minister Sharatsingh Bhandari said that internal employment promotion program was introduced to address the frustration of lack of employment.
