The production of the 21.93 MW Kabeli-3 hydropower project will start within the first week of March. According to the project, the construction work of the project to be produced in Sirijangha Rural Municipality has reached its final stage.

Meghnath Dhungana, public relations officer of the project, said that the construction of the physical structure has been completed. "Construction work has reached the final stage, we are preparing to start electricity by the first week of next March." Its construction is being done by Kabeli Hydropower Company. 

The work started from January 2079 to be completed by mid-March. There are project sites in Sirijunga-5 Pedang, Ward 6 Mamangkhe and Ward 7 Khebang. Othamma flowing through the border of Mamankhe and Khebang has been taken to the power house through a 5.128 km tunnel from the deep spring. The electricity generated here will be connected to Nepal Electricity Authority's 132 kVA Amarpur substation in Hilihang Rural Municipality of Panchthar.

Siddhant Thapaliya, senior engineer of the project, said that electricity will be delivered from the power plant to the transmission line through 31 towers. Dhungana said that the total cost of the project is 4 billion 285 million. 

NMB, Prabhu and Nabil Bank Ltd. have produced electricity in partnership. From this river, production has already started from Super Kabeli 'A' of 13.5 MW and Super Kabeli of 12 MW capacity.
