Representatives of Japanese commercial companies who came for Nepal-Japan Friendship Summit-2025 had a courtesy meeting with Deputy Prime Minister and Finance Minister Bishnu Prasad Paudel.
During the meeting, Minister Paudel said that there is a great possibility of attracting Japanese investment in the priority areas of Nepal's development. He expressed his belief that the Nepal-Japan Friendship Summit will convey the message that there is a favorable environment for investors in Nepal and encourage Japanese investors to invest more.
For foreign investors, hydropower, tourism and manufacturing sectors are also attractive investment sectors, so he requested them to invest in these sectors enthusiastically. Minister Paudel informed that the government has addressed the concerns of the private sector and amended various laws and ordinances to create a more comfortable environment for investment. Fujita, Benzes Corporation, Digital Pilot, Tokyo Marine, Forth Valley and more than a dozen companies participated in the
team. The
summit has started today in Kathmandu.
