At a time when air tickets are being sold at expensive rates due to the increase in passenger traffic, three planes of Nepal Airlines Corporation, including two narrow bodies and one wide body, have been 'grounded' at the same time.

According to the officials of the marketing department of the corporation, at least 2 thousand passengers were stranded due to the cancellation of flights to half a dozen destinations in the last three days due to lack of ships during the good earning season. About 2,000 passengers who had purchased tickets are stranded because the flights to Mumbai, Bailnuru, Kuala Lumpur, Doha, Dammam for the past three days have been damaged or canceled because they are not available. Efforts are being made to send them to a hotel or another ship, said a deputy director of the corporation. There was no place for us to answer. Our executive chairman has turned off his phone.'

Corporation has four jets, two Airbus A320 narrowbody aircraft with 157 seat capacity and two Airbus A330 widebody aircraft with 274 seat capacity to fly to 10 international destinations. But in the last one week, three planes of the corporation broke down several times . Everest, which has run out of seachecks in China, has been stuck there for a week due to problems in payment. Another Lumbini neurobody was stuck in Dammam, Saudi Arabia for three days after a problem with its front wheel. After repairing the plane with the help of Saudi Airlines there, the plane landed in Kathmandu on Tuesday morning and the corporation kept it in the repair shop at the airport. The technician of the corporation said that this aircraft cannot be repaired in Kathmandu and will be sent to Delhi on Thursday. 

Similarly, on Tuesday evening, Widebody Annapurna was stopped in Delhi due to routine check. On Wednesday morning, the widebody, which was brought from Delhi for repairs, was re-grounded after finding new problems related to fuel. Now the corporation has only one widebody in flight. The widebody, which was damaged on Wednesday, is scheduled to be repaired and flown by Thursday. Its spare parts have been brought from the UK, said an engineer involved in the repair.

The neurobody named Sagarmatha sent to China for Seacheck in January has been repaired . Related officials have said that the problem has been created because there are different accounts in the bill related to the payment of the ship that was supposed to come to Kathmandu and fly a week ago. Two bills came in the name of different companies. The amount is also different in both. There is an amount in the contract . Bill amount increased in payment. Due to this dispute, the corporation has lost an income of at least 2 crore rupees daily when the ship is stopped in China," said an officer of the finance department of the corporation.

Corporation has canceled the two-way flights to Kathmandu, Malaysia, Doha, Dubai, Bangkok, Bainluru, Dammam and other destinations at the last moment. When the flight was canceled at the last moment, the passengers who had arrived at the airport were kept in the hotel . All of them are in hotels in the country and abroad at the additional expense of the corporation. How many passengers are there in the hotel? There is no account of how many homes and camps have returned,'' said a deputy director of the corporation.

After the cancellation of the corporation's flights, the foreign airlines flying to/from the Kathmandu sector started cheating the passengers by increasing the ticket prices, the employee of the corporation's passenger service department at the Tribhuvan International Airport told Kantipur .

Nigam's flights to 10 destinations have now come to Makalu Widebody. That ship delayed the flight to Delhi at 2.50 pm on Wednesday by 5 hours .
