Karnali State Government has introduced the concept of 'Project Bank' for systematic construction of development projects.
The government has adopted this method to prevent various mishaps in the scheme. According to which the next fiscal year 2082/83 The projects that will be implemented will be included in the 'Project Bank' and will be implemented.
The Karnali government has said that it will build a bank and hold an investment conference. Although the date of the investment conference has been fixed 4 times before, no investment conference has been held in Karnali yet. Suryanath Yogi, Vice Chairman of Provincial Planning Commission, said that 'Project Bank Management Procedure-2081' has been created for banks.
According to him, discussions are currently being held in various ministries, directorates and offices about the 'project bank'. "Different projects of provincial importance will be prioritized in the project bank," he said.
Loknath Paudyal, Chief Secretary of the Karnali State Government, said that 'Project Bank' is considered important to achieve sustainable development goals by including the policies adopted in the second five-year plan. According to him, the project was included in the policy and program of the current financial year for the construction of the bank, and the review of the first five-year plan also pointed out. He informed that now the ministries under the provincial planning commission will implement the development plans.
'This concept is also necessary to stop the budget allocation in unjustified plans based on access,' he said, 'This will speed up the implementation of the development plan and help to monitor and evaluate it through a one-door system.'
Economic Affairs and Planning Minister Rajeev Vikram Shah said that the project bank will be effective in making the selection of plans systematic, scientific and return-oriented. Ministers, parliamentarians and employees will no longer be allowed to submit their own plans, the needs of the development plan will be identified and prioritized through various indicators, and based on that, it will be taken to the implementation stage, he said, which will help to support the rapid economic growth of the province, prepare the basis for sustainable development and ensure people's participation. He informed that the
project bank will play a role in helping in the systematic implementation of the five-year plan and achieving the necessary goals on time.
