The infrastructure development committee of the House of Representatives has unanimously passed all sections except section 17 of the Water Resources Bill. Chairman of the committee Deepak Bahadur Singh said that the meeting held at Singh Darbar on Thursday passed all clauses except 17 of the bill.
According to him, there has been an agreement to fix the linguistic error in the bill.
In section 17 of the bill, the lower coastal and upper coastal areas still need to be discussed, so the next meeting will decide it, he said. "We are preparing to submit a report after a thorough discussion on the bill with the said section so that the law does not have to be amended for a long time," he said.
'The water resource bill is considered by the committee to be in the interest of the nation and the public interest, and we will protect the share of 6 million Nepalis and submit it to the House without having to amend the bill,' said the chairman of the committee, Singh.
He claims that the bill will come to protect the shares of six million citizens in the electricity sector.
