The protest program announced by the Federation of Nepal Petroleum Transport Businesses has been postponed. After a discussion between the Ministry of Industry, Commerce and Supply, Oil Corporation and representatives of the federation on Wednesday, the protest program was postponed.

After agreeing to address the demand based on the report of the committee formed under the coordination of Shivram Pokharel, joint secretary of the ministry and member of the corporation's board of directors, the program of the movement has been postponed for 15 days.

The federation had announced that it would go on strike saying that the government had not addressed their demands even though they had submitted memorandums up to 17 times. At a press conference, the federation announced the phased protest program on Wednesday. After the agreement with the ministry, the movement has been suspended since Wednesday.
