In February, one bank's interest rate rose, one fell, 18 remained steady

For the month of February, one bank has increased the interest on deposits, while one has decreased it, while 18 banks have remained stable. After 18 banks kept the same interest rate as the same for February, there was no change in the average interest rate of 20 commercial banks.

Even in the month of February, the maximum interest rate offered on one-year personal term deposits in all commercial banks is 6.001 percent on average. This is equal to Magha.

For February, Lakshmi Sunrise Bank has reduced the maximum interest rate of one-year personal term deposits by 0.25 percentage points to 5.5%. In January, the maximum interest rate on term deposits of this bank is 5.75 percent.

Similarly, Global IME Bank has increased the maximum limit of fixed deposits by 0.25 percentage points to 6%. In January, such interest rate was 5.75 percent. The remaining 18 commercial banks have kept the maximum interest rate on personal term deposits unchanged.
