The first National Dairy Expo has started in Bharatpur. Agriculture Minister Ram Nath Adhikari inaugurated the exhibition which started on Friday at Chitwan Udyog Sangha Exhibition Center (Expo Centre) on Bharatpur Telecom Road.

The exhibition jointly organized by Chitwan Industries Association and Chitwan District Milk Producers Cooperative Association will continue till January 27.

Kishore Bagale, Chairman of Chitwan District Milk Producers Cooperative Association, said that the exhibition was organized with the aim of bringing farmers, industrialists and businessmen together and informing them about the new tools, equipment and technology of the dairy industry. He said that problems and challenges will be explored in the

exhibition and possibilities will also be explored. In the exhibition, there are about 100 stalls of necessary machinery and equipment in the dairy and animal feed industry, dairy software, various dairy products, milk cooperatives, animal husbandry materials, feed, medicine, dairy packaging industry.

Acting President of Chitwan Udyog Sangha Madan Ghimire hopes that the exhibition can help to increase local production and expand the market to the international level. Organizers estimate that around 50,000 visitors will watch the exhibition. Ghimire said that farmers, students, policy makers, industrialists and new entrepreneurs planning to enter the dairy industry can benefit from the fair.
