Arjun Budha of Tila rural municipality-1 was confused seven years ago when he started buying and selling organic products for three lakh rupees. He was suffering from the fact that the food coming from outside was affecting the business of organic agricultural products and even the farmers were refusing to plant Raithanebali.

At the beginning, he brought one and a half quintals of his own produce and started decorating it in the shop. When customers started coming to his shop, he decided to invest in organic products.

The old man went to the village and started buying all the things that the farmers had grown. Farmers were also attracted by his passion for organic agriculture. Arjun narrated the experience that farmers are surprised that you should start organic agriculture and I will take the responsibility of bringing the produce to the market.

Earlier Raithane had to go to the village to buy agricultural produce, but now the farmer comes to take Arjun to the shop. Farmers call to understand the price of agricultural products and determine whether or not to bring them. "Earlier he was only familiar with one village. Now I am in touch with all the farmers," said Arjun. His daily routine is to collect agricultural produce from the village and take it to the headquarters Khalanga and sell it. Arjun, who has been selling organic products since 2077, is now known as an organic businessman.

Farmers are ceasing to grow Raithanebali due to food coming from outside. But since Arjun started buying the products produced by the farmers, he has now become more attached to the traditional crops.

'Food from outside has made farmers comfortable. However, the protection of Raithanebali has not stopped," he said. Arjuna of Raralihi Organic Shop Khol is selling marsi rice, beans, soybeans, chinos, kaguno, herbal tea, sisno, timur, maize, apple pulp, honey, barley, wheat, millet and gram flour along with pulses and walnuts. He is also selling extinct black rice at reasonable prices.

He said that he is buying organic products produced by farmers in Patarasi, Tatopani and Tila. Zimbu he is bringing from Mugu. He delivers Jumla's organic produce to traders in Kathmandu. Arjun said that goods worth up to 20 lakh rupees are being delivered to Kathmandu at wholesale prices every year. He says that last year alone, he sold marci worth Rs. 14 lakh 11 thousand. Now the annual turnover of his shop has reached 1 crore.

The organic business that started with three lakh rupees raised from home production and village has now reached crores. In the year 2059, Arjun, who went underground during the then Maoist armed war, went on voluntary retirement after the peace process. He received five lakh rupees as a Maoist army certification. His wife Menaka was also in the Maoist army and returned home with Rs 10 lakh.

Now Maneka is supporting Arjun's business. Friends invested the money they got as retirement in land. He ventured into the business of organic products. Some of the friends who bought the land are now abroad. Some are living on wages. I am working to increase the morale of farmers by selling organic products," he said.

Arjun said that this business seems very dignified as local products are being promoted. "We meet with the elders who come to buy organic products. It is beneficial because it is a cash transaction," he said. Although they had to go to the village and buy it, now farmers are bringing it to the shop to sell it. He bought a 230 square meter land worth 21 lakh rupees and added a house worth 40 lakh rupees by covering the expenses of a family of five people through business. Labeling, grading and suturing machines have also been installed.

'In the beginning, I didn't believe in doing business,' said Arjun, 'I didn't realize that now the business has started running into crores. I thought that I would work hard because I had survived the war, I did not think that I would reach this far.'
