Track opened up to Pangsing of Larke connecting road

The track of the road connecting China border area to Larke has been opened up to Chumanubri rural municipality-3 Pangsing. The Nepali Army, which started work from Hawadanda under the Benighat-Arughat Larke road, has already opened a 36 km track.

10 km of Larke road will also be paved. 600 million resources have been secured for the road from Arkhet to Hawadanda.

Amindra Khadka, Head of Gorkha Road Plan, said that the contract process will be started in the current financial year and the work will be carried forward. Khadka said that the 10 km road from Arkhet to Hawadanda, leaving the Budhigandaki submergence area, will be paved. "We are preparing to start the contract process for paving." He said that the repair work will be done on the other section up to Dobhan which is under the road office. 

10 km of the 154 km road section from Benighat to Larke has been prepared. The road department had opened a track for 62 km from Benighat to Hawadanda. Army has got the task of opening 92 km track from Howada to Larke. The army's road construction task force, which started working from Hawadanda in May 2074, has opened a 36 km track to Chumanubri-3 Pangsing. 

Major Purnachandra Dhakal of the army's road construction task force said that four sections are being separated in the area above Pangsing. He said that work is being done with the goal of opening two kilometers of tracks in the current financial year. At present, work is being done to open road tracks in Pangsing, Nyakfedi, Rubinala and Pewa. 70 million budget has been allocated for the current financial year for the road track opening work being done by the army. "Currently, work is being done in four places," said Dhakal, "90 percent of the area has hard rocks and rocks, so we have done road construction by blasting." 

At that time, the army was given the task of opening the road track by the decision of the Council of Ministers on November 26, 2073, as hard rock was found in Hawadanda Bhir of Lapu and the construction of the road was stopped. Locals have been demanding to allocate sufficient budget for speeding up the opening of road tracks. The army has also constructed a belay bridge at Dharche-5 Machakhola under the Larke road section. 

State and Union governments have already constructed motorized bridges on Arkhet, Soti and Chhepare rivers. A motorable bridge is under construction at Naulikhola located in Dharche-7. With the opening of the track up to Pangsing, jeeps, tractors, trucks and other vehicles have also started operating in winter. With the operation of the bus up to Pangsing, the walking distance of the residents of the northern region has been reduced and the transportation cost of daily consumables has also decreased. 

The army, which has started work from Hawadanda, will open a track through Lapubesi, Machakhola, Tatopani of Dharche Rural Municipality, Jagat, Pangsing, Bihi, Prok, Samagaon of Chumanuvri Rural Municipality to Larkevanjyang. The goal is to connect Chumanubri rural municipality with the national road network by completing the construction of the road track.
