Saroj Khatri of Banepa, who went to a program in Mangaltar with staff from Banepa, reached the program two hours late than the scheduled time. The reason was that the vehicle broke down on the Narke-Mangaltar road section on the BP highway and the traffic on that road section was blocked from 3:30 am.

Traffic on the highway was stopped till 12 noon as the truck broke down on the way up Narke. Even from 10 am to 12 noon, he could not move the vehicle past 400 meters. The highway was blocked for about 9 hours.

In coordination with Road Division Office, Bhaktapur, two-way traffic has been resumed after removing the damaged vehicle from the highway, according to the area police office, Mangaltar. Driver Saroj Khatri said that it is very difficult to drive on this highway, which was damaged by the flood in the second week of last October.

'It is dusty on the road now in winter. There are potholes, nothing can be seen, you have to drive by guesswork,' he said, 'so far there is no preparation for road construction, even if a small car breaks down, there will be traffic jams for hours, how can you walk on this road in rain?' Seeing the condition of the road, Sunuwar is starting to feel sad. He said that as the condition of the road is bad, one should travel at risk. After opening a new track in the Bhakundebesi-Nepalthok section, which was damaged by the flood, he traveled several times through the highway to Kathmandu-Fikal. "This is the way we go back and forth," he said, "we have walked many times."

According to him, due to the condition of the road, it is impossible to estimate the time to reach the destination. "You don't know where there are potholes due to dust," he said.

It's been 4 months since the road broke. How long do you have to endure this kind of misery?'' He said, 'Sometimes the road is blocked, which means that you cannot reach the place on time.' People who had to go where, got stuck in a jam for hours. You have to walk only knowing the condition of the road,'' he said. The construction was completed on 18 June 2072 and was formally handed over to the Government of Nepal.

According to the Road Division Office, Bhaktapur, more than 10 kilometers of road in Bhakunde-Nepalthok section was destroyed by the flood of the second week of October. According to the office, even though the highway blocked by floods and landslides was put into operation two weeks later, due to the risk of dry landslides, the office had been stopping traffic from 6 pm to 10 hours (night time) since last October 30. The office has informed that the highway is one-way and sometimes two-way.
