Alternative Energy Promotion Center is going to organize the 'International Clean Energy' conference on the occasion of International Clean Energy Day. In a press conference on Monday, the center informed that it is going to celebrate the day by holding a conference from January 13 to 15.

The United Nations has been celebrating January 26 as the International Clean Energy Day every year since 2024 with the aim of raising awareness for the just and inclusive transformation of clean energy that benefits the earth and humans and the entire animal world living on it.  The center said that on the first day of the

conference, the center will interact with the stakeholders about the problems, challenges and opportunities related to this sector. The center says that on the second day, the state of the renewable energy and energy efficiency sector, the priorities and needs of the government, the priorities of the development partners and discussions with the development partners will be discussed. On the third day of the conference, a conference on clean energy transformation for a sustainable and low-carbon based economy will be held. Navraj Dhakal, executive director of

center, informed that there will be various presentations for the exchange of experience, interaction about investment opportunities and necessary strategy formulation among the stakeholders in order to accelerate clean energy transformation, which will help in the development of sustainable and low carbon based economy in Nepal.

'Conference on renewable energy, energy efficiency  And national and international governmental and non-governmental bodies related to climate change, state governments and local levels, researchers, academic institutions, development partner organizations, investors, practitioners in this field, private sector, media world, civil society and sectoral experts will gather an opportunity to attend in one place. ' He said .  According to

Dhakal, more than 350 people will participate in the conference. The center says that there will be support from more than 10 different organizations for this.

Identification of sectoral needs, opportunities and challenges, prioritization of investable projects and opportunities for investment and resource mobilization for clean energy transformation, current development partnership related to Nepal's energy transformation and climate change  He said that the main goal of the conference is to exchange experience about the successful projects and start-up practices in the field in terms of future investment choices. In the

conference, potential investable projects will be presented and emphasis on investment enhancement, production, publication and distribution of informative materials will also be done in the conference. "Identification of sectoral needs for energy transformation, investment needs for energy transformation and identification of various mechanisms for climate finance, investment enhancement and development cooperation are expected to be strengthened," he said. Energy Development Roadmap and Action Plan, 2081 recently approved by the Government of Nepal from the

conference and  It is also expected to help for the effective implementation of the action plan related to increasing electricity consumption and reducing mineral fuel, 2080 . Five plenary sessions based on various topics related to energy conversion  will be conducted .
