The National Bank report has pointed out that there are strong possibilities for starting new businesses in the information technology sector in Koshi province. According to the economic activity study report of Koshi province released on Sunday, it is mentioned that there are opportunities for such businesses in Koshi as the businesses in the information technology sector have contributed more to the economy than tourism.
"With the expansion of Internet access, new businesses in the information technology sector can be started in Koshi province as well, in terms of the contribution of information technology businesses to the economy more than tourism," the report says about the potential of the province, "telemedicine services and e-learning services can be started in rural areas for quality education  ;.'
The number of internet service users in Koshi province increased by 10.3 percent to 44 thousand 342 in the financial year 2080/81. The report said . In the same period of the previous financial year, the number of internet service users increased by 8.3 percent. The total number of distributed telephones in Koshi has increased from 52 to 28,672. At the end of June of the previous year, this number was 48 lakh 27 thousand 676.
