When the tourist hotel was opened on the Rapti bank of Chitwan, which flows through the national park, there was no activity on the banks of the big rivers Narayani and Trishuli. There are still no big hotels-resorts on the Chitwan side of the Narayani River. Tourists are attracted to the bank of Trishuli river.

Tourist resorts have been continuously opening on the banks of Trishuli in Bharatpur Metropolitan City for the last few years.

A tourist resort has been operating since last Baisakh on Narayangadh-Muglin road, with green forest on the west side and Trishuli river on the northern border. At Jugedi, a little before Bhateri, a tourist hotel Presidency was started 12 years ago by connecting with the Trishuli coast. Ashoka Hotel is operating in Jugedi. Thimura Resort is located on the banks of Bhateri West Trishuli.

Although Thimura falls in Bharatpur Metropolitan City-1 and Bhateri in Jugedi-29, these places are on the same wave of the Trishuli coast. Kavilas Resort is in operation not only on the banks of the river but also in the hilly thumkos of South Bharatpur-29 from Narayangadh-Muglin road. Jugedi Bazar has plenty of hotels where travelers can stop for food. But recently, Thimura, Bhateri and Jugedi areas are also becoming new hubs for tourist hotels.

There is a forest around, there is a panoramic view of the Trishuli river bank. Looking ahead towards the west-north horizon, seven layers of mountains are visible. We have come to see good potential in such a place,'' said Kalyan Joshi, the owner of the resort which is operating in Bhateri. River Bank Park and Resort Pvt Ltd has built this hotel. Joshi is the chairman of this company. The hotel is now operated under the management of an Indian company.

Indian company Royal Orchid Hotels Group's brand 'Regenta Resort' has taken over the management of the hotel. The resort, built by 50 partners by raising 600 million rupees, is spread over five bighas of land. The resort has two suite rooms with their own separate swimming pools. The hotel has a total of 51 rooms and 102 beds. There is also a large swimming bridge on the side of Trishuli shore.

“Those who prefer solitude and enjoy the natural scenery come here,” said Joshi. After the Indian company took over the management, the number of Indians coming here is increasing. Joshi said that during the 'dealer meet' of Indian companies, Indians come in groups. Owner Prakashdhwaj Adhikari, who opened Hotel Presidency 12 years ago with an investment of Rs 20 crore, says that the business has not been satisfactory lately.

Seeing the potential in this place, we opened a hotel with a loan of 16 million rupees. But recently the situation is not satisfactory, said the official. Dr. who is a doctor. Pramod Lamichhane started the Thimura resort two and a half years ago by investing 300 million rupees. There was no experience in the hotel sector, on the other hand, the country's economic situation is also unfavorable. Therefore, it is not as expected," said Dr. Lamichhane said.

This area includes Barandavar forest. Barandabhar forest is the route connecting Chitwan Park with Chure and Mahabharata mountain range. Therefore, rare wild animals such as rhinoceros and tigers frequent here. Lamichhane says that when the Thimura resort was being built, a rhino came to the gate. There are Satanchuli and Jaldevi Community Forests in Barandabhar forest area. Tourism professionals say that you can go on a jeep safari or hike in these community forest areas.

'Everybody here should uncover the possibilities. There are places where you can do jungle safari as well as in the park area. They have come here from the border areas of India for marriage. It can also be made a wedding destination,” said Joshi. But when Indian vehicles carrying tourists come, they should be checked easily and quickly at the border crossing, he said. He says that this is not the case now.

A group comes from Patna in Bihar, India after three to four hours to Birganj Raxaul. Complaints are coming that they stopped there for one and a half to two hours and even more for the examination,' said Joshi. He said that the poor condition of the air service along with the road is another serious challenge.
