Communications and Information Technology Minister Prithvisubba Gurung has urged telecommunication and internet service provider companies to pay attention to quality service delivery without fighting with the government. While reaching from Kathmandu to Pokhara, the communication service is interrupted every kilometer, he said that there is a problem with the quality.
Speaking at the ICT Award program on Friday, Minister Gurung said that the government will provide necessary concessions and facilitation services to the service providers. However, he said that service providers should also fulfill their responsibilities .
'We have told service providers like NTC, Ncell, Worldlink not to fight with the government, not to file a case against the government in court,' Minister Gurung said, 'After this government provides a proper environment to do business, the service providers will also obey the government's laws, laws and regulations. Policies must be followed .'
It was Minister Gurung's intention that the development of the IT sector would be possible only after ending the 'quarrel-like state of mind'. According to him, there are many problems in the quality of internet and telecommunication services on the highways of Nepal. "From Nagadhunga to Muglin, the phone works for one kilometer, but not for another kilometer," he said. He also said that although the government is ready to solve the problems faced by the
service providers, the service providers are in a state of mind to keep fighting. "Unless this kind of thing is stopped, the IT sector will not develop," said Gurung.
