Experts have said that Nepal's banking sector is capable of facing potential challenges. They say that as the banking sector is well-governed and transparent compared to other sectors of the economy, it is not difficult to face potential challenges. They claim that Nepal's banking sector is strong in South Asia.

In the 38th Annual General Meeting of Nepal Bankers Association, Rashtra Bank Governor Mahaprasad Adhikari said that Nepal's banking sector is very transparent compared to other sectors.

Any reform policy brought by Nepal Rastra Bank will come with an effort to make Nepal's banking sector stronger rather than making it difficult, he said. "Although there are many challenges in the banking sector of Nepal, the banking sector of Nepal is capable of facing those challenges," he said. So do not get discouraged and move forward with positive thinking.'

Kamalika Das, an economist looking at the South Asia region of the International Finance Corporation (IFC), emphasized that the main challenges seen in the world economy and the latest solutions should be found. He said that the economic growth of South Asian countries is better than other countries. For this, she said that the remittances flowing in this region have increased private consumption and helped make the economy viable.

Nepal's banking sector is the best in South Asia, Sunil KC, the outgoing president of the association, claims. He said that the guardianship role played by Nepal Rastra Bank has contributed a lot to this. On the occasion of the annual general meeting, the association has been honoring people who have made significant contributions in the banking sector every year. Under this, former bankers Rajan Singh Bhandari and Ratnaraj Bajracharya were honored this year.

The general assembly unanimously elected the president, vice president and three members of the association. According to this, Santosh Koirala, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Machhapuchhre Bank, and Surendraraj Regmi, Chief Executive Officer of Global IME Bank, have been elected as Vice President.

The general meeting also elected three members of the executive committee. It includes Everest Bank CEO Sudesh Khaling, Kumari Bank CEO Ramchandra Khanal and Nepal Bank CEO Tilakraj Pandey.
