Technology companies are competing to see who can build a video generator tool that gives the highest quality 'output'. Less than a week after ChatGPT maker OpenAI made its popular video generation model 'Sora Turbo' available to common users, Google has also announced 'Vio 2'.
Google says that Vio 2 can create 4K AI video. It is claimed that it surpasses even 'Sora', which is considered to be the most powerful video generator tool. Created by Google's AI research company DeepMind, Vio 2 can create hyper-realistic clips of people and animals to animated videos .
Users can sign up for Vio 2 through VideoFX, Google said. A blog post published by Google showcases high-quality video clips made by Vio 2 as an example. It is mentioned that this tool can create a video with four K resolution from the difference between the video shot in natural and artificial light. Sora Turbo can only output at a maximum resolution of 1080 pixels.
However, some have pointed out that the motion effects in Vio 2 are still not dynamic. Google DeepMind says that the video generator can be further improved. Currently only released in America, the company is preparing to make the feature 2 available on YouTube shorts and other Google products next year.
