The Everest National Park Office, Namche, has expressed serious concern over the ban imposed on the helicopter company from January 1 on commercial flights, and the airline operators have said that they will not accept the decision.

Manoj Karki, president of the Airline Operators Association, issued a statement on Thursday and expressed his objection to the decision as it was against the law. "We will not be forced to stop flights in the Everest region, as the Nepal government reserves the right to ban flights using the Civil Aviation Act," Association President Karki told Kantipur. The association has said that no law will be attracted in the flight and landing of Nepal except the Nepal Civil Authority Act. But on Wednesday, Sushma Rana, Conservation Officer of Everest National Park, citing the National Parks and Wildlife Protection Act, sent a letter to 11 helicopter companies banning commercial charter flights for tourists in the Everest region from January 17.

The union has asked the government to immediately investigate and take action on the fact that the Everest National Park office has misused its authority and cut the letter, stating that if the flight is interrupted, action will be taken according to non-military flights.
