Tribhuvan International Airport will be closed for 8 hours only from December 17 for the construction of infrastructure connected to the runway. Earlier, it was closed from 23rd October from 10 pm to 8 am.
In a press conference held at the Nepal Civil Aviation Authority on Thursday, Director General Pradeep Adhikari said that the construction work that starts at 10:00 PM at the airport from February 1 (Pus 17) has been moved to 11:00 AM and the construction work that will last until 8:00 AM has been shortened by one hour to 7:00 AM.
'The time has been reduced as the progress of the infrastructure expansion is more than the target', the Director General said at the press conference. He said that since the morning flight time has been brought to 7 o'clock, there will also be foreign flights including mountain flights.
