The damaged road in Kamaladi will be put into operation from Thursday after being constructed. Last July 25, the road was damaged in Kamaladi due to incessant rain. After that, traffic stopped in that section.
After two and a half months of breaking ground, the contract was signed for 49 lakh rupees and its construction started from October 2. 46 days after the construction started, the construction work was completed on November 17.
There was a crash on the road between Mahendra Salik and Kathmandu Plaza on Durbar Marg. Narayanadatta Bhandari, Head of Road Division, Kathmandu, said that work was done in three shifts at the place where the road was broken and due to teamwork, the construction work was completed in one and a half months. He said that although the construction was completed a few days ago, it took time to paint.
'The structure has been built so that vehicles can move well,' he said, 'the broken box curve, the surrounding railings have been built.' The work could not be done at the appointed time, the work was completed within a month and a half after the construction started. When it was raining continuously, the entire culvert collapsed in the road had fallen .
According to the road department, the culvert was built during the Rana period and has become dilapidated. This road section is within the boundary area of ward number 1 and 28 of Kathmandu metropolis. DG Prakash Construction won the contract on October 18.
