Taxpayers who have an annual turnover of more than 1 crore will get the deadline to submit their income statement for the financial year 080/81 by the end of January.

The Internal Revenue Office issued a notice on Tuesday and informed that if such taxpayers request an extension of the deadline for submitting the income statement, the deadline will be automatically extended until the end of January 2018 through the integrated tax system of the department. The department has issued the notification saying that such a decision was made only on Sunday.

Meanwhile, on Monday, the Patan High Court has issued an order not to immediately implement the decision of the Internal Revenue Department last October regarding the extension of the deadline for filing the income statement determined on the basis of business .

Judge Hemant Rawal's single bench had ordered the Prime Minister's Office, Ministry of Finance, Revenue Investigation Department and other agencies not to implement the notification of the Internal Revenue Department last October to file the income statement .
