1 thousand 251 citizens of 72 countries have arrived in Nepal to climb the mountains in autumn, which is considered attractive after the spring season. According to the data released by the Department of Tourism on Friday, climbers from 72 countries have come to Nepal to climb 46 mountains from Makalu mountain in Sankhuwasabha in the east to Api in Darchula in the west.

This time, the largest number of climbers came to Nepal: 131 from the United States, 115 from the UK, 83 from France, 79 from China, 77 from Germany, 75 from Russia, 64 from Japan, 62 from the Czech Republic, 51 from Spain and 50 from Australia. 

There are 292 female and 959 male climbers for autumn season climbing, said Sandesh Maske, the official of the department. Apart from foreigners, 43 Nepalis are also going to climb the mountain in Sharadyam. Rest of page 8

department has collected 85.8 million salami fees from mountain climbing permits till Friday. No one has climbed Mt. Everest this season. 159 climbing teams have gone to 46 mountains including 8 thousand high Manaslu, Dhaulagiri, Makalu and Choyu. 

This time the most climbers reached 481 in Amadablam, 381 in Manaslu, 144 in Himlung, 51 in Varunse, 32 in Thapapik Dhampus, 28 in Puthahimchuli, 21 in Saribung.

 Nepal has been opening three seasons of mountain climbing in 12 months. Out of the three seasons, namely spring, September, October and November, autumn and December, January, February, winter-summer, the highest number of climbs is in spring and the least in winter-summer.
