Non-Resident Nepali Association (NRNA) president Badri KC has urged the opposition groups to make the annual general meeting to be held in Kathmandu a convention of unity.
President KC expressed this opinion in a press conference held on Friday about NRNA (Badri KC Group) organizing NRN Global Conclave-2024 and Annual General Meeting on October 11-12. Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli is inaugurating the conclave and the annual general meeting.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has sent a letter to Shesha Ghale, the coordinator of the high-level committee formed by the 81st meeting of the International Coordination Council of the Non-Resident Nepali Association, to implement the order of the Supreme Court along with the unity convention of the NRN. In this context, the NRNA KC group has been saying that they were elected from the 11th Congress. The group of RK Sharma and Mahesh Shrestha, the candidates for the chairmanship, has formed another association under the leadership of Sharma, saying that the electronic voting results of the 11th Congress were flawed.
He said that the decision of the Supreme Court is not related to the 11th Congress but to the 10th Congress. 'There is no legal exit from the road. Through discussion. It is a statute governing the institution. If there is a problem with it, we can go ahead after discussion', he said.
President KC said that they are advancing the campaign of NRNA in a legal capacity. Vice President Ram Sharan Simkha said that he will call on friends who have gone astray from this general meeting to come to the mainstream.
