Education that does not give opportunities

Young people who have to earn while they are still students lose their mind towards education. This kind of economic tendency also poses a danger that young people may take wrong paths like black market and other crimes.

Poverty is the main reason why most of the students in countries like ours drop out. There are many examples of our young people who have gone abroad having to do part-time work to pay for living, dining and tuition fees.

The practice of going abroad for study and work has been going on since before. In the past too, Muglan used to look for work. Whatever work he got there, he used to bring money to Nepal. Now there are many examples of people leaving their jobs in the military, police, financial or health sectors and going abroad not only to study. Not only our students migrated, but also the temporary workers started migrating to America, Canada, UK, Australia, Japan. As soon as DV or PR comes into their hands, the high officials here have also started going abroad. Being attracted to the comforts of a developed country rather than one's own situation means becoming selfish. It is not suitable for a true patriot to forget the land of his birth and rejoice in other countries.

A village boy gets educated by studying close to home. And tries to leave that place. He begins to see himself as different from other villagers. Do not share your knowledge and skills with your neighbors. It is ironic that he does not try to transfer his educational achievements to the development campaign of Nimukha villagers. It is sad that today's education makes even an ordinary person forget the land of his birth and try to go to another place. What kind of education is the education that motivates you to give up your self-esteem as soon as you learn something by reading and writing? How to evaluate such education? This has also become a subject of search. Why does a person have to leave the place of birth to rise up? In this way, he gets educated from the village, he enters the city he wants to enter, otherwise he makes the mentality of going abroad. This seems to be the product of modern education.

There is a tendency among young people to gain respect only after going abroad after reading and understanding. The society says that so-and-so's son has gone mad, gone abroad and become a big man. Falana's parents have been very lucky. This perception of the society has encouraged the migration of even more young people abroad. Along with the restoration of democracy in Nepal, as well as the wave brought by global liberalization and globalization, foreign style developed. A further Maoist armed insurgency further hampered the campaign. Due to the lack of employment in the country, the wave of going to other countries including the Gulf countries in search of labor destinations is increasing. With the passage of time, remittances from foreign employment brought relief to the economy. Now, as remittances are down, our economy is in a state of collapse.

The factors behind the exodus of young people are politics and education. Politics is volatile. The situation in the country is chaotic. There is confusion and negligence in the education sector. No matter which government comes, the people are not able to feel relief. The price has risen in the market. The people are suffering from the price hike almost three times in the last few months. In our country, educational unemployment is increasing day by day, forcing the youth to wander abroad to earn a living. There is little debate and discussion about making education quality, practical and employable. After becoming a republic, the Ministry of Education has not been able to come up with a clear education policy. Education itself increases access to opportunities and jobs as well as broadens the horizons of knowledge. This requires timely, internationally competitive education. Did the state pay attention to it?

More than 2,000 unemployed people go abroad in search of work. Almost 90 percent of unskilled workers are leaving due to lack of skills. Our education is still failing to produce skilled manpower. Investment in education has been like water on sand. Our youth should be given the opportunity to stay in the village and study up to higher education. Living there should not make you feel deprived of resources, environment and opportunities. Education should be able to study, research and develop the country's geography, agriculture, forestry, environment, livestock, information, communication, technology, medicine, tourism, security, administration, energy, chemistry, transportation, space, atmosphere.

Looking at the current situation, it seems that talent has started to be traded in the world. Major or minor talents of most of the underdeveloped countries are wandering abroad. Educational disorganization cannot produce qualified citizens in the country. As a result, there is a shortage of qualified people in leadership positions. This is the situation our country is facing today. The educational sector should produce academic, qualified, honest and diligent people. However, when teachers' unions raise their voice only for services and facilities rather than academic and educational interests, it is affecting the students' education.

Shikshalay leaders have started to become like recruitment centers. It is clear that the billions of funds in the education sector have not received adequate returns. As a result of this, the trend of going abroad for studies and migrating there is increasing after passing 12th standard. On the other hand, people with higher education also migrate abroad for employment. In this way, when educated, talented citizens leave their country, the country loses a qualified person. When the skilled manpower produced by the state with huge investment migrates abroad, the loss caused by it has not been discussed. Nothing happened in changing the political system. It was the social condition of the common man that needed to be changed. For this, education should be improved.
