337 people have undergone free cataract surgeries at eye camps conducted by the Matrika Eye Center in various locations.
More than 5,000 eye patients have benefited from the three-phase camp.
During the camp, activities ranging from eye examinations to free medicine distribution have been carried out. The center has stated that it has been providing free eye camps and medicines outside the Kathmandu Valley if there is a demand.
In the first phase, 50 patients have benefited from the camp conducted in Namobuddha, Kavrepalchowk, and 27 patients have benefited from the camp conducted in Sunakothi. The center says that 41 people have benefited from the camp conducted in Sankhu Ward No. 3 and 66 people have benefited from the camp conducted in Godabari.
In the first phase of the camp conducted on Baisakh 26 and 27, 154 people have undergone cataract surgery.
Similarly, in the second phase, 108 people have undergone cataract surgery from the camp conducted on Jestha 22. Of which The center has stated that 108 people, including 51 people in the camp held in Nardevi, Kathmandu Metropolitan City 18, 29 people in the camp in Chyasal Patan, 15 people in Bhaktapur and 12 people in the camp in Maitidevi, underwent cataract surgery.
In the third phase, 75 patients have benefited from the camp held on Jestha 30. The center says that 25 people in Lalitpur Ward No. 8 and 40 in Chappi Lalitpur have benefited, making a total of 75 people.
