Durga Bahadur Acharya of Baglung says that the current voting process has become clearer and easier than before. The 87-year-old Acharya, who has been actively participating in past political movements, has been voting regularly since 2015. In his experience, the voting process has become easier over time.

‘Earlier, it was customary to take a ticket and cast your vote in a tin box,’ he recalled. ‘At that time, the Pradhan Panch and ward representatives were elected. Later, the Reja symbol (the symbol of the flag) came, and now voting is done using the Swastika symbol. The current process is easy and easy to understand.’ Acharya says that he has been continuously participating in both various movements and the voting process in the country.

86-year-old Bhagirath Upadhyay Dawadi has also been voting continuously since 2017. In his experience, the current voting process is also easier and hassle-free than before. ‘There is no hassle like before,’ he said, ‘Now the process of putting the swastika on the election symbol is easy, it has become easier to vote.’

However, he says that the post-voting process needs improvement. He is not satisfied with the fact that the problem of taking hours to get the results after the voting is over. He says, ‘The concerned body should pay attention to this too.’ Both the old voters said that even if the party and the leader come up with good plans and programs, voters are unhappy when they are not implemented effectively.
