The Global Center for Climate and Security Governance has organized an interaction with the stakeholders at the state level on various aspects of climate change and the related governance system in Nepal.

Abhayraj Joshi, the executive director of the organization, informed that the interaction was held with the participation of parliamentarians of the state assembly, representatives of civil society, academia and security agencies to strengthen the governance system in the field of climate change and lobby for more initiatives in this regard.

In the interaction held in Dhanusha of Madhesh province and Itahari of Koshi province, the importance of governance system in the field of climate change and the cooperation and coordination between the main stakeholders were discussed. 

Debates on climate change and governance in Koshi and Madhesh Devnarayan Mandal, an expert on the environment and sustainability in Madhesh Pradesh and Deepak Vikram Thapa Chhetri, an expert in Koshi Pradesh, gave a presentation on the issue of security in the context of disaster and climate change.

In the interaction between the two provinces, former MP Deepak Prakash Bhatt presented about international practices and the role of parliamentarians in the policy making process regarding climate change. The organization in Karnali and Sudurpaschim Province  It has also done debate and interaction programs before.
