The President of Press Council Nepal, Balkrishna Basnet, has said that the press council will strictly monitor the media as it has attacked journalism by spreading factual and one-sided information.

He also mentioned that the council is showing vigilance to prevent wrong activities under the guise of journalism.  Congratulating the media giving news in the mother tongue, he mentioned that future journalism should be technology-friendly and creative.

'In today's digital world, journalism thrives only if it is a medium that is technology-friendly and adopted by everyone. There should be a difference in the presentation of news,' he said, 'Factless and baseless, one-sided and airy presentation has attacked journalism. Credible and creative journalism is needed to prevent this. The edge of future journalism must be focused on this.' The

council has been closely monitoring various media, including YouTube, which publish baseless, obscene and one-sided content while abusing the media. The
