The audio of Vaidyanath Das, a police sub-inspector (SAI) working in Hirapur of Sarlahi openly demanding money from a smuggler, has gone viral on social media. After the incident, the police got a variety of reactions. The then Chief of Madhes Police DIG Dhiraj Pratap Singh had suspended Sai Das on the charge of taking bribe from a smuggler in Parsa district on 5th of Mansir 2077 .
