A similar incident happened on October 1, 2050. This refreshment ceremony became an incident, the main reason for the resignation of Speaker Damannath Dhungana . 

The issue of not even providing chairs for Congress Supreme Leader Ganeshman Singh, Prime Minister Girija Prasad Koirala and other leaders in refreshment took a political color. On the day after the refreshments, the parliamentarians expressed their anger on this issue in the meeting of the Congress parliamentary party on October 2nd. In the meeting, Girija Prasad and other MPs also criticized the Speaker. And the then speaker Damannath Dhungana resigned over this matter . The then Chief Whip of the Congress Parliamentary Party, Tarinidutt Chatout, said that the reactionaries were caught by the agreement of the Congress Amal saying that the incident could be planned.

Congress used to call democracy 'baby' at that time . Congress leaders including Prime Minister Koirala and Ganeshman during their speeches used to denigrate some incidents as a game to weaken 'baby democracy'. Therefore, it was suspected that the incident that happened during refreshments could be a conspiracy of those who are against the system and those close to the palace.
