There has been an internal conflict within the Congress on whether to immediately address the demands for change raised by the Gen-G movement or to run the party as it is. A group including General Minister Gagan Thapa and Bishwaprakash Sharma is in favor of a special convention with the conclusion that the party's policy and leadership should be changed immediately.

The Zen-G movement has changed so much . Still, if the demands and aspirations of the young generation are not addressed within the party, it is said that this step has to be taken as there is a danger that the Congress party will become irrelevant. What is your understanding?

I don't agree with this . When there is fire all over the country, it is not appropriate to try to set fire within the party. This kind of work causes organizational fire . My public suggestion to them is not to do such a thing.

Don't you feel that Jen-ji's demand should be addressed?

That will be done by the Congress. Why new and old? The convention will decide everything . We are nothing now . At the leadership level of the party, all the officials except the party chairman belong to the young generation. It can be seen to rise further from the convention, no one can stop it . Look at the parliamentarians, parliamentarians of the provincial assembly, representatives of the local level, central working committee, all of them are young people.

The tenure of all the officers and members of the Central Working Committee is ending in the next three months. Is it possible to hold a regular convention within November?
