Unity is being announced today between Madhesh and Sudurpaschim Provincial Assembly and Janmaat and Civil Liberation Party. On Tuesday, the two parties held their respective central working committee meetings and took a formal decision for party unity. The name of the new party will be 'Nagarik Janmat' and after the merger, the party will become the sixth largest party in the parliament.

There is an agreement that CK Raut will be the president of the party that will be formed after the merger and Resham Chaudhary will be the patron. Raut is the president of public opinion while Chaudhary is the guardian of civil liberties. It has been agreed that Ranjita Shrestha, the president of civil liberties, will be the co-chairman of the new party.

A brief conversation with CK Raut, President of Janmat, about party unity and understanding between the two parties :  How is the union between public opinion and civil liberties?

I am the president of the party, Ranjita Shrestha is the co-president. At the beginning, we will announce with a few officers . We will appoint other officials later. We have said that there will be up to seven hundred people in the central committee. It doesn't have to be kept.

What is the main message of unity ?

This unity is a matter of happiness for the marginalized communities of Terai-Madhesh and hills. It is believed that it will play a decisive role in national politics. In the coming days, the organization will expand to all districts. This unity is the first step.

In the past, many parties were formed and split in Madhesh and other provinces with the issue of identity. After this unity, there will be a state of disintegration again, isn't it?

Now what will be the political direction of the 'Nagarik Janmat' party?

We have called social democracy in economic policy . The overall political ideology will be a new republic. In which we envision an elected executive president. There will be a system where experts run the ministry. The heads of constitutional bodies will also be directly elected.

What effect will the new party have on Nepal's politics in the immediate and long term?

We will play a decisive role in some provinces. We will be decisive in the formation of the government. It will have an impact on national politics. We will not become a big party right now, but we will be a strong force in the upcoming elections.

Even though you are an elected member of parliament, what is the reason for not wanting to be a minister?

We are trying to advance politics in a new way. It is our responsibility to break the hatred seen in politics . We have found that he has given some positive messages without becoming a minister. Since the party organization is new, I have paid more attention to it. We don't have to be afraid to be ministers, we have to be patient . This may be a lesson to others as well .
