From clerks to laborers to hoteliers

11 years ago, I became a hotel operator in Khayalkhailai while working as a wage labourer. I was tired of looking for work every day and not getting paid for my work. I was a member of a savings group at that time. By taking a loan from the same group, I bought and reared baby goats for 500 rupees.

I sold the grown child to a hotelier in Garhwa Bazar. The moneylender who said he would pay after selling the meat did not pay. I was shocked when he asked for money. One day the hotel manager said, 'I can't give money, but take me to a hotel .'  I had to get 5 thousand from the

hotel. The owner set the price of the hotel at 82,000. When I was thinking that I would not be able to stand up after working, I gathered courage in my heart . I raised insufficient funds by selling some growing bangur and other items. And bought the same hotel .

In the beginning, he didn't even know how to run a hotel. What items are needed? What food to make and sell? Didn't know anything . There was no knowledge about market alcohol. After gradually learning everything, Kshanyu Rapti Hotel has now been established.

Now I am 35 years old . Now I have paid my house expenses from the earnings of this hotel . After starting the business, I took a loan of 150,000 from the group at different times and used it to purchase the necessary equipment for the hotel. Later I earned and paid .

The Creating Possibilities Nepal organization that I belong to has also helped me a lot. This institution taught the eldest daughter . Then I dared to teach the younger Binu myself. The eldest daughter is currently studying for her diploma at Rapti Technical College with the help of the institution. Younger daughter is studying in class 10.

My husband Kaltu works as a mason. Dewar is helping in the work of the hotel . Sahuji, who sells me the hotel, sometimes comes to have tea and lunch. 10 to 15 thousand saved per month by selling tea and snacks. Hotel rent is 10,000 per month. I will spend the remaining 5,000 on the house and my younger daughter's education. I am saving in three groups daily . 500 in one group, 100 in another and 50 in the other, I am saving 650 rupees daily. This is my income.

I was able to buy 10 acres of land in the village by saving a lot. Build a two-storey brick house. Life became very easy after doing business . Business changed my situation . It is the piglet that made me a businessman.

My childhood was spent in many sorrows. After Dang and Kathmandu, I lived in Kamalari for 15 years . For 6 years, I lived in Kamalari only in Kathmandu. I got married while I was staying in Kamalari. Even after marriage, I came to the village and worked at other people's houses. Life was hard while living in Kamalari. Couldn't even eat full stomach . He didn't get anything for working day and night in someone else's house. I couldn't take a step to school . I could not go to the adult classes in the village. I liked to read but my family didn't let me.

I am proud of being able to change my life despite lack of finances, lack of education and a sad childhood. Sometimes one's own life feels amazing . What a hunder, stumbled and finally became a businessman . Business is something our family has never done . After hard work and continuous work, you will get success in any work.
