A campus built in Sudurpaschim Province with financial assistance from the Government of India has been inaugurated. On Sunday, First Secretary of the Indian Embassy, Bashisht Nandan, and Chairperson of Badikedar Rural Municipality, Bhairav Bahadur Saud, jointly inaugurated the Kedar Jyotipunj Multipurpose Campus (recently renamed as Kedar Surya Multipurpose Campus) located in Badikedar Rural Municipality of Doti district.
The construction of the two-story campus building, with seven rooms and other associated facilities on each floor, was carried out as a High Impact Community Development Project.
This campus is affiliated with Tribhuvan University. Bachelor of Education (BEd) and Bachelor of Business Studies (BBS) programs are being conducted at this campus.
The Chairperson of Badikedar Rural Municipality, campus management, and other stakeholders expressed appreciation for the development assistance provided by the Government of India. They expressed confidence that the new infrastructure would help strengthen the educational infrastructure of the region.
Since the launch of the High Impact Community Development Project program, the Government of India has advanced around 600 projects in various regions of Nepal. Of these, including four projects in Doti district, 47 projects are located in Sudurpaschim Province. In addition, according to the Indian Embassy, the Government of India has already provided 78 ambulances and 40 school buses as gifts to various institutions working in the health and education sectors of Sudurpaschim Province, including nine ambulances and three school buses in Doti district.
