The fifth convocation of the University of Agriculture and Forestry will be held on Saturday. The convocation will be held under the chief guestship of Education Minister Sasmit Pokharel, who is also the Vice-Chancellor of the university. University Registrar Dr. Subir Singh said that 2,193 people will be inducted in the fifth convocation of agriculture, animal science and forestry with bachelor's, master's and doctoral degrees (PhD).
Registrar Singh informed that 1,836 people will be inducted with bachelor's degrees, 327 with master's degrees and 30 with PhD degrees from all faculties and programs. It has been 16 years since the establishment of the University of Agriculture and Forestry in Rampur, Chitwan. The University of Agriculture was opened on Asad 3, 2067 BS at the Rampur Agricultural Campus, which is a constituent campus of Tribhuvan University.
Since then, 5,906 people have completed their bachelor's, master's and PhD. The highest number of graduates in agriculture is 3,014. Registrar Singh informed that a total of 4,408 people have completed their bachelor's degree, 1,426 have completed their master's degree, and 72 have completed their PhD across all faculties and programs.
