The National Examination Board has stated that the results of Class 12 will be made public before 10 Ashar.

The government had directed to publish the results within 45 days of the end of the examination. Even though 45 days will reach 10 Ashar, the Controller of Examinations Krishna Prasad Sharma said that efforts are being made to publish the results before that. ‘The work of checking and verifying the answer sheets has been completed. Work is being done on holidays and in the morning and evening to release the results as soon as possible,’ he said, ‘The results will be published by 10 Ashar.’ The board has stated that the work of matching the students’ scores is being entered.

The results of SEE were also made public on the 29th day of the examination. Earlier, the board had managed to make the results of Class 12 public within 70 days at the earliest. This time, answer sheet testing centers were added to publish the results within 45 days. Sharma said that answer sheet testing was carried out at 48 places.

418,08 candidates participated in the examination conducted since 14 Baisakh. According to the board, there are 332,178 candidates in the regular section. Of these, 172,120 are male students, 160,137 are female students and 29 are others. 85,830 students participated in the partial examination. 39 students from Everest School in Japan also took the exam. The highest number of 64,338 students participated in Kathmandu district and the lowest number of 31 students participated in Manang. Last year, 61.17 percent of the students passed the Class 12 examination.
