Minister for Education and Sports Sasmit Pokharel has informed that he is going to bring new regulations to regulate campuses affiliated with foreign universities.
In a program organized on Sunday, Minister Pokharel informed that he is going to bring regulations to regulate them as there have been many complaints regarding colleges affiliated with foreign universities. According to him, the Ministry of Education has prepared a draft of the regulations and sent it to the Ministries of Finance and Law.
'To make foreign university affiliated colleges systematic, which university can be affiliated and which cannot? What will be the regulation for this? We are regulating Nepali universities, we are regulating Nepali colleges, but foreign university affiliated colleges are not being regulated properly till date. We have prepared regulations to make it systematic and have sent the draft to the relevant ministries. We are probably working to send it to the next Council of Ministers after approving the comments from the Ministry of Finance and the Ministry of Law within this week,' he said.
He informed that work has also been progressed for matching teacher posts in schools. He said that the work of matching posts is progressing in coordination with the local level.
