Madan Bhandari University of Science and Technology (AMBST) has appointed Dr. Dinesh Raj Bhuju as Vice President (Academic and Research).

He is also a visiting professor at Northwest University in China. He has previously taught at various universities in Nepal, Italy, and Poland. Dr. Bhuju holds a PhD in ecology from Chiba University, Japan. He has held positions such as Head of the Faculty of Science and Head of Department at NAST, Founding Principal of Khwapa Engineering College, and Academic Coordinator and Executive Director of Madhya Paschim University.

Bhuju's research focuses mainly on the ecology of the Chure region, the Himalayan treeline, and dendro-climatology. He has led and advised on various research and policy projects related to climate change, biodiversity conservation, disaster risk management, and science policy in collaboration with UNESCO, UNDP, ICIMOD, WWF, and the Government of Nepal. He has published over 80 peer-reviewed journal articles, over 50 book chapters and conference papers, and over 20 books and textbooks.
