It has been found that the question paper for the Master's level Education and Development subject in the Faculty of Education at Tribhuvan University is identical to last year's question paper.
Students have complained that the question paper has been repeated due to the negligence of the teachers, subject committee and dean's office who prepared the question paper.
Most of the questions in the question paper of the Education and Development subject code number 533 are identical to those of last year (2081). 'The previous year's questions have been turned upside down and distorted,' said a student. In previous years too, Tribhuvan University had been criticized for repeating the question paper.
Even after Tribhuvan University formed an investigation committee and warned the guilty, the repetition of the question paper has not stopped. A complaint was also filed with the Education, Health and Information Technology Committee of the House of Representatives regarding the repetition of the question paper. The committee had also directed Tribhuvan University to investigate and bring it to justice.
Dean of the Faculty of Education Bedraj Acharya said that after the question paper was found to be repeated, the concerned teachers, subject committee and assistant dean were verbally warned. 'Some questions were found to be similar to last year's question,' he said, 'I have asked why this happened.'
