Nepal Sanskrit University has condemned the well-planned attack on Vice-Chancellor Prof. Dr. Dhaneshwor Nepal and others by unauthorized entry into the university premises.
University President Professor Bhojraj Joshi has issued a statement expressing regret over the planned attack on Vice Chancellor Nepal, Deputy Administrator Khim Bahadur KC and Vice Chancellor's Personal Secretary Cholendra Rijal.
He said that it is unnatural for officials and employees working in a sacred temple like the university to be mistreated and attacked and drew the attention of the concerned bodies to make necessary security arrangements. A meeting of the university was held in Beljhundi to review the incident. The meeting expressed serious regret and condemned the incident. Vice Chancellor Nepal and others were attacked by the All Nepal National Independent Students Union (Krantikari), a student organization close to the Communist Party of Nepal (Majority) on Poush 6 at around 8 am.
University President Joshi said in a statement, 'University Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Dhaneshwor Nepal and Registrar Prof. All the allegations made by the ANNFSU (Revolutionary) Lumbini Province Committee through a press release dated 2082 Paush 6, mentioning the name of Gadhav Adhikari, are completely fabricated, unsubstantiated and untrue. We request all the concerned parties to form an opinion about the university and its officials based on true and accurate information without relying on sources provided by any bias, misinformation and selfish elements, and to play a supportive role in maintaining the academic values and dignity of the academic institution.'
