Footballs have been provided to 21 community schools in the district with the aim of increasing football activities in East Nawalparasi and producing players from the school level.
Under the All Nepal Football Association (ANFA)'s 'Football for Schools' program, footballs were distributed to 21 schools in the district at a rate of twenty each, said Meghraj Pandey, acting president of the Nawalpur District Football Association.
All Nepal Football Association (ANFA) president Pankaj Bikram Nembang handed over the footballs to the school representatives. Handing over the footballs, president Nembang said that this program was launched to increase children's interest in football and increase football activities from the school level.
More than 25,000 footballs will be distributed to about 1,072 schools in 77 districts across the country through the program. Setman Pun, chairman of the District Sports Development Committee, said that it was launched in collaboration with the Ministry of Education, Science and Technology and the Ministry of Youth and Sports.
