The third Para-Himalayan Communication and Social Development Conference is set to begin in Kathmandu from Friday.

The conference is being jointly organized by the Central Department of Journalism of Tribhuvan University and the School of Public Administration of the University of Electronic Science and Technology of China. It is said that the conference to be held at the Central Department of Journalism of Tribhuvan University, Kirtipur, will discuss the issues of communication, digital governance, social development and mutual cooperation in the Himalayan region.

Tribhuvan University Rector Khadak KC and Vice Chancellor Deepak Aryal will address the conference.

Scholars, researchers and communication experts from eight countries including Nepal, the US, China, Bangladesh, Bhutan, India, Sri Lanka and Japan will participate in the conference, which will last until Saturday.
