Minister for Education, Science and Technology Mahabir Pun has informed that approximately Rs 17.5 million will be spent to conduct the re-examination of CTEVT students.

Minister Pun said at a press conference held at the ministry on Monday, 'Preparations are being made for re-examination of the answer sheets of about 10 percent of students from Koshi and Bagmati provinces due to the burning of answer sheets during the Gen-G movement. However, arrangements have been made so that they do not have to come to Kathmandu, they will take the exam at the center of their own province.'

He added, 'The students had demanded that they should 'pass without examination'. But how can they pass without examination? Therefore, it has been agreed that the burnt answer sheets should be used in the exam. The routine has also been prepared, all preparations are underway.'

Minister Pun informed that separate committees have also been formed to give new affiliation to CTEVT and to revise it. According to him, 442 affiliation applications have been received since 2069 BS, which will be investigated and finalized within two months.
