The son was arrested while taking the exam instead of his father at the Thakurram Multipurpose Campus in Birganj. Parsa Police spokesperson DSP Kishore Lamsal informed that the arrested person is Muhammad Aftab, 24 years old from Birgunj Metropolitan City-3 Chhapkainya. He was found to be taking the exam in place of his father Muhammad Sahbuddin.

He said that there is no detailed information about the incident as the official letter has not yet been received from the campus. Campus Head Mohan Prasad Yadav said that after receiving the information that Aftab was taking the exam instead of his father, he went to the exam room around 1.30 pm on Sunday while the exam was being conducted and it was confirmed that Aftab was a fake candidate.
"Aftab was found giving his third exam even on Sunday after pasting his picture on the admit card of Mohammad Sahabuddin roll number 1527023," he said, "he participated in the MA third semester exam."
Aftab was arrested and taken away by the team of Ward Police Office Virta. He said that he also informed the Registrar and Dean about the incident.
Aftab, who was arrested, and Sahabuddin, who sent fake examinees to take the exam, will be dealt with according to section 270 (a) of Tribhuvan University Organization and Academic Administration Rule 2050, he said.
