Saraswati Khadka, Minister of State for Social Development of Sudurpaschim Province, has said that education is the backbone of social change. He expressed this opinion while speaking at a program organized on the campus on Friday on the occasion of the 30th anniversary of Dadeldhura Multipurpose Campus.
State Minister Khadka mentioned that education is indispensable from building development to social transformation. He said that since the student society has a strong power and they have the ability to run the nation, responsibility and perseverance are necessary in student life.
Recalling that she is also a former student of this campus, she said that the past situation of not allowing women to study has now changed and it is a positive aspect that women are attracted to higher education. Also, expressing concern about the increasing drug use, she asked the students to be active against it.
On behalf of the state government, she announced that she would support the development of infrastructure such as girl toilets, chamena homes, quarter guards and computer labs. She also promised to provide free preparatory classes of Teachers Service Commission and Public Service Commission to female students. In the
program, campus head Lal Bahadur Budha promised to improve the educational quality of the campus by implementing the suggestions received. Swaviyu President Gaurav Air said that he will continue to be active for the rights of students.
